I am tired of people calling mashups unoriginal, I'm a video collagist who uses open source materials for my subject matter- I have an extensive "original" art background as a painter, and would like to get the message out there that video mashups are not any less original than Marcel Duchamp who painted a moustache on a print of the Mona Lisa back in the early 20th century. One could say that this was the original mashup.
